This spacious 18m x 9m, south-east-facing hall, with a capacity of up to 240 guests includes a full stage with professional lighting for stage productions. The hall can also be hired with the adjoining Kings studio for a capacity of 300. The open aspect of the hall, with its patio area and access onto the recreation ground area including a children’s playground, makes it a very attractive location year round. There is direct access to the Bar lounge and to the Kings Studio. This allows for a variety of layouts and uses – ranging from weddings and parties to discos, seminars, workshops and theatre shows using stage.
The stage is fully curtained, with wing curtains to stage sides and back drop curtains at the rear of the stage. The main curtains are in a beautiful blue velour. In addition there is a 14 channel mixing desk for the sound system and a professional lighting rig.
The hall holds 200 people theatre style with 3 aisles and 230 with 2 aisles and 130-150 Cafe/Cabaret style
This 17m x 4.3m space with a capacity of 50 people, has many practical uses. It is ideal for children’s parties, meetings, community groups, or an exercise studio to name but a few. It has convenient access to the small kitchen for the provision of tea, coffee and snacks. It also is adjacent to the Main Hall and is often hired as an extension to that hall. It has its own separate entrance at the side of the building that also provides access to the Madge Jackson Hall.
This well lit, carpeted 11m x 5m meeting room with a capacity of 50 and the adjoining small kitchen for the provision of tea, coffee and snacks, is ideal for many events, including meetings, funeral wakes, small family parties and receptions, community groups and much more. Entrance is at the side of the building this entrance also provides access to the Kings Studio.
This room holds a maximum of 22 theatre style and 14 boardroom style, can be used for small meetings or as a breakout room for events in the main hall. There are tea and coffee making facilities in the room and for more catering there is access to main kitchen.
